LEAH + ADAM

SKIRBALL CULTURAL CENTER - LOS ANGELES, CA

Ariel was absolutely AMAZING to work with. He totally got what I wanted for our video. I wanted to capture every moment so that I could relive it over and over again. The night of the wedding, I didn’t even notice Ariel was there until he said goodbye at last call. He captured all of our big moments without it ever feeling like we were being recorded. A real talent!

Why do you want to capture your wedding on video?

For me, video is extremely important. Photos are a wonderful way to capture the wedding but it does not have the same effect that video does. I want to be able to hear our voices and see our movements along with our friends and family. For some background, I lost my brother 18 months ago and the thing I miss the most is his voice. I have hundreds of photos but not enough video to hear him and see him move. That is why video has become to important to me, to capture life in a way that photos don't.

Why did you choose us to create your wedding film?

I think your style captures a really authentic view of the wedding. I love that you are able to with us from beginning to end. Your videos online showed a view of the wedding that tells a very beautiful story while capturing the most real moments, like the girls getting ready and boys getting dressed. I also like the editing from the footage of the ceremonies. I like how your videos show all the fun that everyone was having while keeping a romantic feel.

What do you do? How do you spend your days? What's important in life?

Adam travels for work every week as a financial consultant and I work for Hillel and KU. Adam loves the challenge of his work and thrives when he is put in a situation where there is a problem that he needs to solve. I love my work and being able to make an impact in the lives of my students. When we're together on the weekends we're always going out to eat. We have our favorite spots but we also love trying the new spots in KC. Travel is also huge for us. We've been to Portugal, Italy and Israel together and we are going to Bora Bora for our honeymoon and Columbia next winter. Family is also very important to both of us. We both talk to our families every day and they will all play a huge role in the wedding.

The proposal. Tell me everything!

Adam proposed on August 10th in Breckenridge, CO. Before that, we had been discussing taking a trip in December and I was SURE that would be when Adam was going to propose. I nagged him for months to book the trip, but he just wouldn't make the move. I had no idea Adam was already working on his own plan. He brought me to Breckenridge for a long weekend under the guise that it was going to be our last weekend for a trip in months. I believed him and thought nothing of it. The morning after we arrived, Adam suggested we go on one of the hikes we had been researching. I thought that sounded like a great idea. While on the hike, we found the most perfect spot and at the perfect moment, Adam got down on one knee and asked me to marry him.
